Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline

----------

This year, Kazakhstan already exported 300,000 tons of oil across Caspian Sea and via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, which runs from Azerbaijan to Turkey, and aims to send about 1.5 million tons in total this year, according to Akkenzhenov. That’s just a fraction of CPC exports, which this year have totaled 40.5 million tons of mostly Kazakh oil as of Aug. 18, according to the consortium’s website.

Colonial Pipeline

NY Harbor gasoline and ULSD cracks have strengthened since yesterday on the back of an outage of the Colonial pipeline, the largest fuel pipeline in the US which carries refined products from the Gulf Coast to the East Coast. The outage occurred on line 1, which moves around 1.5m b/d of gasoline. The shutdown is due to a potential leak, however, the duration of the outage is expected to be relatively short.

Trans Mountain Pipeline

The Canadian oil industry has eagerly awaited the completion of the Trans Mountain expansion, which would add 590,000 bpd to capacity, opening up international markets to Canadian crude from the country’s west coast.

There are no other oil pipeline projects in the works in Canada and even the progress of the Trans Mountain expansion is something of a miracle after a series of delays and legal challenges from activists. These delays and challenges led to a sixfol…
